Section titled “Business cards”These are a special order, so just let someone know if we seem to be running low.
Compliment slips
Section titled “Compliment slips”These are a special order, so just let someone know if we seem to be running low.
Tickets
Section titled “Tickets”We order the blank ticket cards from Printed. They’re relatively cheap and do a decent job, but you can also use Instantprint if you run into any issues. Bear in mind that Instantprint have a tendancy to misprint things, so if you do use them, make sure you check the tickets when they arrive.
When ordering, go for the cheapest card stock available (usually 300gsm) and the cheapest finish (usually uncoated). We usually order 1-2 thousand tickets at a time, which is plenty for both showrooms.
You’ll find the ticket template saved to Shared Drives/Business Development/Graphics/Stationary/Tickets/PDF/Ticket Template.pdf.
Our username for both Printed and Instantprint is admin@wovenandwoods.com.
Labels
Section titled “Labels”These are the labels we use for the tickets in both showrooms:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0006HIQQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s 00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ticket pockets
Section titled “Ticket pockets”These have become quite hard to comne by lately. At the moment, we’re getting them from Duraweld:
https://duraweld.co.uk/product/business-or-credit-card-self-adhesive-pocket/
Remember to buy the ones with the short opening.
Printer paper
Section titled “Printer paper”You can just pick this up from Amazon or a stationary shop. Make sure it’s white, A4 size and 80gsm.
General supplies
Section titled “General supplies”Bin bags
Section titled “Bin bags”We use First Mile for all waste collection at Richmond. You can log into their portal here: https://www.thefirstmile.co.uk/
Our username is admin@wovenandwoods.com.
To order new bags, click the Location button and select either Twickenham or Richmond. Then click the Order Again button next to the type of bag you want (rubbish (aka general) or recycling).
For Twickenham, we use Grundon for general waste and First Mile for recycling. You only need to order First Mile recycling bags for Twickenham; for general waste, just use the generic black bin bags from the supermarket.
Toilet roll
Section titled “Toilet roll”It’s usually best to buy this in bulk online, rather than as and when from the supermarket. Here are some good options:
Honest Supplies do a good, sustainably sourced toilet roll for a reasonable price. [Serious Tissues] (https://www.serioustissues.co.uk/products/serious-2-ply-toilet-roll-48-rolls) do a decent mid-range option. Bazoo do a decent budget option. Who Gives a Crap do a good sustainably sourced option, but it’s quite expensive.
If you find yourself caught short and need to buy some from a supermarket, Lidl usually has the best value. By the rough stuff though - it’s what you deserve for being disorganised.
Paper towels
Section titled “Paper towels”These are the paper towels we usually get for the bathroom dispenser: https://greenmybusiness.co.uk/product/recycled-interfold-hand-towels-3800/. They’re sustainanbly sourced, quite cheap and do the job.
We don’t have an account, so just buy as a one off. Amazon also sell paper towels of various qualities if you’d rather use them.
Vacuum cleaner bags
Section titled “Vacuum cleaner bags”The vacuum cleaners in both the Twickenham and Richmond showrooms take the same standard Numatic. Amazon is usually the cheapest.
Cleaning supplies
Section titled “Cleaning supplies”You can just pick these up from a local supermarket. Lidl is usually the cheapest.
Coffee beans
Section titled “Coffee beans”We usually order the coffee beans from Curve Coffee Roasters; they’re a nice company who make good coffee and they’re not too pricey. We’ve recently been buying House Espresso San Lorenzo, which is a nice all-rounder.
Feel free to order from elsewhere if you want to mix things up a bit. Expect to pay about £20-30 per/kg for decent beans.
Here are some other good suppliers who are quite reasonably priced:
If you’re in a hurry, you can also go to Kiss the Hippo, who will sell you beans directly from their shop in Richmond. Expect to pay a little more for their coffee, but it’s very good.
You’re generally better off buying a medium roast or a blend intended to be used for espresso, as not everyone enjoys a light roast. Check for tasting notes that mention chocolate or nuts. You can also buy Lavazza from Amazon if you enjoy notes of ashtray and disappointment.
Reed diffusers
Section titled “Reed diffusers”Most of our reed diffusers come from Scandinavisk. You can order refills either on Amazon or directly from Scandinavisk.
Maintenance
Section titled “Maintenance”Light bulbs
Section titled “Light bulbs”If you see a light bulb has failed, you can order replacements from Screwfix. Here are the ones we use:
- Small bulbs (ceiling spotlights in both showrooms)
Order from Screwfix - Large bulbs (larger ceiling lights in Twickenham over Brockway stand):
Order from Screwfix
Use the login admin@wovenandwoods.com.
It’s best to buy in bulk and store the extra bulbs somewhere out of the way. Twickenham tend to keep theirs on the shelves by the kitchen, wheil Richmind keep theirs in the haunted cupboard. Check to see if you already have some before ordering more.
Richmond coffee machine
Section titled “Richmond coffee machine”The infuser in the coffee machine should be cleaned about once a week. It takes about 10 minutes if you just follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cvidK65cto
Every now and then a message will appear on the screen saying that the coffee machine needs to be descaled. There’s a bottle of Kilrock descaler by the sink; just follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Uj9SBsEHeU.
You’ll need a small jug to catch the water from the spout and a larger bucket to empty it into when it gets full. I usually use the black
